Thank you and have a good day :)
Most of these institutions seem inhumane...the treatment of these patients made them worst.. hopefully there are not many of these old types of asylums and treatment centers existing today.. hopefully it's being checked out by the system.... lobotomy procedures have been banned long ago in most countries...but who's really checking...I pray for all... Thanks Luth... you have sparked my interest and curiosity as always.. keep up the good work... intense subject intense music soundtrack... you are doing just fine.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I remember going to an facility when I was 11, stayed there for a week. The reason why was me suicidal thoughts, self harm, depression, and anxiety. After I got out I got back into my old routine. Self harm and depression. Slowly becoming numb. Just saying the facility that I went to did not help at all. So, thats sad
Seeing this, I remembered my sister that go to an insane asylum. She's not insane! But, she's stress, depressed and hard to talk, she cuts her self because she kept getting punched in her eye until she have one eye only. One day before she goes to the insane asylum. My Friend saw her cutting her hands with a scissor in her room and then she tell the whole neighborhood about that. Then the whole neighborhood ties her to a chair and brings her to the insane asylum. After 1 year in the asylum. My sister was found dead. She was treated badly until she died by stress. No food. No drink. Peoples in my neighborhood thought that she was crazy and Psychopath so they still talk trash about my sister until now. 😭
This isn't too dissimilar from nursing homes now. 2019 and it continues. If you're not rich, you're screwed with underpaid, don't give a crap staff who are repulsed by you. It's a terrible death sentence..
Did staff find these people unworthy of food and clothing? And what's a "Violent Coma?" Sounds like an oxymoron. Imagine having epilepsy in the 19th century. The patients are in Heaven now... Their "caregivers" are probably burning in hell!
Omg this is awful! Like not the patients but how they were treated! They were treated awful and this is not okay. They should of been arrested. I’m glad we live in this era because I would not go to a hospital back then. The hospital I went to was loving and kind and treated us well
Well thankfully are white granfathers put there uncared for children in these places so we can go ahead and beleive crazy people are not just abused children and keep living the good live with no gult while the rest of the world and living things in the world pay for being . until we all hqve to pay and theres nothing left on earth but rock once again.
Alot has changed but bot enough its still looked on as a weakness ive been to a treatment centre for panic attacks in there i got assaulted by security treated like a criminal by staff i acted ok to get out
I envy mental institutions from the past now a days there are psychos and lunatics just walking around.... And convicted killers and rappest set free for a pay out.
Not saying I agree with the types of treatments.
i got out of the children's hospital cause my parents saw how they treated their patients and me. they didn't know it would be that bad of a treatment. but i made some friends there and now i'm sad cause i miss them. i forgot there names cause it was back in 2014. but i remember this one person just kept coming up to me and acting weird around me. they were like " hey jade, if i turn 20 dont kill me." i stayed quiet because i am very cautious of what i'm saying and might say something wrong.
and NO i'm not mental anymore i'm perfectly fine .-. if i was i wouldn't know what YouTube was anymore.xD
That first lady is a case of inhuman treatment. As if this shit reallllllly happened. I know it did because old ages weren't 'educated' but I thought humans decency isn't something people need to LEARN...
Asylums get a bad rap, but at the time it was a hospital and they were trying to figure out how to treat mental illness. If you look at past medical treatments they were also barbaric, but it was the best they could do at the time. The truly cruel asylums were ussually shut down if people found out what was going on. For many the Asylum was the only place to turn to for help for the seriously mentally ill. We have so many people just turned out onto the streets now because they have nowhere to go. These kind of slide shows just perpetuate the myth that they were all bad places. We need residential mental health care for mentally ill people who can not cope on their own.
